Sorry, I have not mentioned my pregnancy in a while. I went for some Genetic counselling a while ago to get all of my information since the doctors were soo worried about a genetic disorder. A Nuchal scan shows increased risk for 3 genetic disorder Trisomy 13, 18, and 21. Trisomy 13 and 18 are considered fatal genetic disorders since pregnancy's where this is the case typically do not go full term, and those that do the children's lives are very limited. These 2 disorders I am at virtually no additional risk of. Trisomy 21 is commonly known as downs syndrome, and I am at an increased risk, but it is still only a 5% chance that the baby will have it.
I did want to find out what I was having, but after 7 ultrasounds the gender is still a mystery. I am a little worried that I am getting my hopes up that it will be a girl, and I really don't want to be disappointed if I do have another boy.
The Obstetrician has moved my due date back because the baby was measuring small in my ultrasounds, but I am positive of my dates. I have a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks now which is not until October 1st. The doctor made it clear that because of the large amount of scar tissue on my uterus that if I go into labour I have a very low chance of survival because I will start bleeding internally due to a ruptured uterus.
Maybe this pregnancy will go fine from here on in, but my previous 2 have not, so we will see what the lord has in store for me. I am kind of still expecting a baby some time in September, but I will post any further developments as they happen.

Wow! 7 ultrasounds and they can't see what it is yet? That baby is playing games with you all. I hope it all goes well.
I will be praying for you!!:)
Wow. I guess a scheduled C-section is very, very important!
Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy. I'm due Sept 14-17 (they keep changing it) so we'll have our babes around the same time. You're hoping girl, then? You know, "Marie" is a lovely name.
my vote is a girl :) i had 4 ultrasounds with Zoe and they couldn't tell me what it was.
